The Dark Knight Rises

There’s been a lot of hype about the new Dark Knight Rises movie and what’s drawing most of the attention is an incredible poster that’s making its way around the Internet.

There isn’t a huge amount of information on IMDB, but what I can tell you is that it stars Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway and Liam Neeson and is set to launch in the summer of 2012, so we’ve still got a bit of a wait.

The Lincoln Lawyer

The movie tells a story about a defense lawyer, Mike Haller, who works out of his Lincoln. A wealthy realtor gets accused of raping a prostitute and Mike is asked to represent the realtor. The story goes on as Mike investigates the case and finds out that it might be linked to a case he used to work on.

The movie has a great rating of 7.4/10 on IMDB, it’s a Crime / Drama / Thriller and stars Matthew McConaughey, Marisa Tomei and Ryan Phillippe and from what I’ve read, it’s going to be really good.

Spud – Movie Review

It’s South Africa 1990. Two major events are about to happen: The release of Nelson Mandela and, more importantly, it’s Spud Milton’s first year at an elite boys only private boarding school. John Milton is a boy from an ordinary background who wins a scholarship to a private school in Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. Surrounded by boys with nicknames like Gecko, Rambo, Rain Man and Mad Dog, Spud has his hands full trying to adapt to his new home.

Along the way Spud takes his first tentative steps along the path to manhood. (The path it seems could be a rather long road). Spud is an only child. He is cursed with parents from well beyond the lunatic fringe and a senile granny. His dad is a fervent anti-communist who is paranoid that the family domestic worker is running a shebeen from her room at the back of the family home. R.E.D Movie Review

Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren and John Malkovich team up for an action packed comedy based on a graphic novel.

Frank Moses (Willis) is a retired C.I.A super agent who, along with his former team members, is framed for the assassination of a government official.

Cue the explosions and the cheesy one liners as he hunts down his former team mates to forma a deadly alliance of pissed off retirees who have one thing in mind, justice.

Great special effects and a powerhouse cast makes this film a deadly third quarter release that could change your perspective on pensioners, and what they’re capable of.

Alpha and Omega a 3D animation

Crest Animation Productions releases its first full length 3D animation in conjunction with Lionsgate Family Entertainment.

In Alpha and Omega two young wolves, Kate (Hayden Panetteire) and Humphrey (Justin Long), live on opposite sides of their pack in the Jasper National Park. Kate is an Alpha and Humphrey an Omega, but their friendship will land them in a whole lot of trouble when local conservationist ship them off to a reserve in Idaho.

There they meet a bunch of cuddly characters who try their best to get the pair home safely but, as their adventure get’s every more hair raising they begin to realise that their love for one another.

Joining the voice cast is a host of Hollywood favourites including Danny Glover, Christina
Ricci and the late Dennis Hopper.

Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel star in a romantic comedy drama that takes the genre to new levels.

Holly (Heigl) is a career woman that finds relationships time consuming and difficult to manage. Eric (Duhamel) is the exact opposite, juggling numerous relationships and living up to his label as a “player”.

In a tragic twist of fate they are brought together by the loss of their best friends who unbeknown to them have left their newborn child in the care of this unlikely couple.

Filled with serious undertones, “Life As We Know It” still manages to bring to the screen two of the finest comedic actors who create the perfect on screen couple.
