“Wow”, that’s probably the best word to use to explain how things have been going lately.
I’ve been so incredibly busy lately, I don’t think my mobile phone has ever gone this much, I can’t remember the last time that work finished and I had to race off and I can’t remember the last time I had so many variables to keep track of.
Tonight is my second last night in a Cape Town Flat by Chris M, as of Friday I will be living back in the Southern Suburbs, where I grew up. I have mixed feelings, I’m stoked to be closer to my family, I’m stoked to be closer to work and I’m stoked to experience a quieter life, but on the flip side I’m going to miss lifestyle living, cocktails at Mugged, the view and living in the heart of the city.
What I can tell you is that I know I’m making the right move, there’s no doubt about that, so despite my worries, everything will come together nicely – This past week the following has happened at the flat I’m moving into:
- New paint job
- New laminated floors
- New lights
- New light switches
- New blinds
- New security gate
- New access remotes
- New microwave
- New fridge
- New freezer
- New telephone
- Ordered ADSL
The list does go on, and all of this in just a week! I’ve put a line through the items that are done, so you know where I stand, who knows, you might be interested – Almost there.
This has all being going on whilst still seeing my family, seeing my fiancé, seeing my friends and working my job, oh, and running iMod!
Work has been going well, it’s strange, I have always loved my job, but just the last two weeks I’ve started to feel a lot more part of the team – it’s weird, I never felt left out at all, but something has changed and it’s a good feeling. If you didn’t know, I’ve been at The Forge over a year now, which is the longest period I’ve ever been employed for, so perhaps this is something everyone goes through – either way, it’s awesome; I really do work with an amazing team!
There are several other things going on, but I don’t bore you with all the details as I feel I’ve given you a decent update as to where I stand at the moment.
In just 2 more sleeps, I’ll be relaxing in my new place with the sliding door wide open (YAY for no more WIND) and a bottle of Moet :)

Good luck bro and the enjoy the Moet. :)
Thanks bro, I’m looking forward to the weekend, when I’ll be settled and can destress, finally! How you been keeping?
Chris, that is one impressively productive week! Good luck with the move, hope it all goes according to plan. :)
Ye Jo, what a week it’s been, can’t wait for today to be over, then I can just sit back, relax and enjoy :)
