So, I ordered the Smashing Magazine book for The Forge Web Creations and it has arrived and we’re thrilled..

It’s full of juicy goodness and definitely worth the read. I haven’t managed to read the whole thing, but have started; you can actually read 2 chapters for free:
Have you ordered yours? If not, you can do so here for $29.99.

Im in two minds about getting this. I like it a lot. I do buy a lot of books too. But I rarely get any books on software or development.
Mainly because the information contained within this sort of literature becomes “stale” after a while. This is even more so when dealing with online ‘trends’. What this book may preach as best practices or trends may become obsolete a few months down the line.
What are your thoughts on the book, Chris?

I think based on that fact that it’s Smashing Magazine says a lot, they would not produce a book that would get old quickly, but it’s so much more than that though, there’s a ton of useful information inside it. Based on the cost, it’s not bad at all.
Up to you mate, I’m pleased that I bought it ..

Ye mate, they have built up a fantastic reputation and are far too aware of the industry to release something that won’t last..
