So, for those of you who read my blog on a regular basis, you’ll know about my new years resolutions and you’ll probably know what’s going on in my life.
Three things that I’m focusing most on are:
- Work – I love my job and towards the end of last year I started feeling exhausted and was not performing to my best ability.. Although it didn’t show, well I doubt it did, it was there and now that it’s a fresh year, I’m pushing myself to perform as best as I can. The first week of work is almost over and I feel proud of myself for what I’ve done thus far. Tomorrow is a day of meetings, which I look forward to, and then I’m going to treat myself to a glass of champers, a dvd and an early night if all goes to plan.
- Fishing – After spending many years of my life of the banks of dams, the bug has bitten and I’m hooked again. After my dismal experience fishing at UCT dam, I decided that I would venture out somewhere proper this time. I’ll be rising nice and early on Saturday morning to venture out beyond Sir Lowry’s Pass to a place called Houw Hoek Farm Stall, which offers fishing at really good rates. I’ve sorted out my tackle and it’s packed and ready – Yes, I know, bit lame, screw it, I love it :)
- Offline – I realised that I’m spending far too much time glued to my computer, so once work is done, I’m trying my best not to just come home and carry on. For example, this evening I had a lovely dinner with my family, followed by a whiskey at Mugged on Roeland with Nelson. After this, I even popped into Que Pasa to catch up with the salsa people! For those of you who are interested, there’s a beach party at Que Pasa on Saturday which sounds really good, I’ll be there, come join me for a dance and a drink if you want :)

So, as you can see, things are going well, changes are in place and I’m feeling better about things. I must admit, this first week back at work has been powerful, but I’m exhausted!
Hope to catch up with you all soon, pop me a comment, let me know how things are going your side – I love to hear from all of you, don’t ever think otherwise!
