There have been lots of rumours about Google doing a redesign. Now, how exactly do you redesign something so basic and simple, yet so powerfully effective? The whole concept behind a white page with a textbox and a button is (along with the fast search speed) were the whole launch pad for Google’s success in my opinion.
Never-the-less, Gizmodo reports that Google are in fact redesigning, take a look:
4 Steps to test it out:
-
Go to Google.com.
-
Once it loads, enter this code into your web browser’s URL address field:
javascript:void(document.cookie=”PREF=ID=20b6e4c2f44943bb:U=4bf292d46faad806:TM=1249677602:LM=1257919388:S=odm0Ys-53ZueXfZG;path=/; domain=.google.com”);
There shouldn’t be any http://google.com in front of that. Just that code.
-
Hit enter.
-
Reload or open a new Google.com page and you will have access to the new user interface.
I think it’s pretty awesome, would love to hear what you think?

I think it’s pretty cool, I wonder when it will come to Google.co.za.
Ye, it’s a decent choice of layout, and although I’m miss the simplicity of the current one, I think this will help track down information a lot easier!
It doesn’t work for me :/ although it might have something to do with the fact that i’m doing it from work.
Shane, you’re not the only one, it’s been a problem for a number of people, so don’t worry :)
