Social networking on the Xbox 360!
As the title states, Xbox 360 is now going to introduce social networking as one of its new features with the likes of Twitter and Facebook. Sounds to me like they’re going to end up with a personal computer if you ask me :P
“We’re delivering some truly exciting social entertainment experiences to our members,” says Xbox LIVE general manager, Marc Whitten. “Xbox LIVE’s differentiator has always been our community, and we’ve already seen a tremendous response to these features in our public preview. It’s the community that drives us forward and allows us to pioneer new ways of connecting people through the entertainment they love.”
Apart from Facebook and Twitter, we’ll also be seeing the inclusion of Zune and Twitter.
Interesting movement, from a marketing point of view, it was an obvious move, but what’s going to be interesting, is watching the gamers and seeing if they’re going to waste their time updating their status messages.
