2CheckOut extends free sign-ups for South Africans
Since 2CheckOut took a big interest in South Africans, they’ve seen a huge number of signups and because of this, they’ve decided to extend the free sign up period to the end of September!
I’ve been in touch with the powers that be at 2CheckOut and it’s been an interesting journey to watch, I’m really hoping that they’ll keep this momentum going and explore even more new features for us South Africans!
The huge discussion around PayPal South Africa is still going and from all the comments, it’s clear that PayPal isn’t an option for all of us. It looks like PayFast are also working on a few new things, you can read the comments here.

I have signed up with them, I just have one major problem with them: they don’t charge in Rand. It looks kind of funny when you’re charging your clients in US$’s, or some other currency. For some people this wouldn’t be an issue, but I feel it looks unprofessional. Nevertheless, I have been in contact with them and they should support the Rand within the next year or so.

I just wanted to stop by and let you all know that the plan is to have Rand supported in the next large update. We have not set an official release date yet, but I believe it should be within the next month.
