Are you a designer? Win R5000 cash!

With International Suit Day around the corner, a number of people have started chatting about being against suits and ties on a daily basis and that wearing one just for this special day would actually be quite enjoyable.

I don’t wear a suit or tie to work every day, in fact, I can’t remember the last time I wore a suit – I wonder to myself whether that’s a bad thing, suiting up is how players, like blade, roll, ya know ;)

Anyway, wearing a suit and tie to work on a daily basis is lame and if you’re stuck in a job which requires this, I apologize!

Springleap together with P.A.S.T (People against Suits and Ties) are hosting a competition with a wicked cash prize of R5000.00 as well as some major exposure.

The competition is quite simple, it’s for the designers and all you have to do is design the official t-shirt for casual day!

So, if you’re a designer who goes to work in a hoodie and jeans, then you’re the perfect person to enter this competition. Then again, if you’re a creative who goes to work in a suit and tie, but longs to be able to be more casual, perhaps this will be your way to release!

Watch Springleap for more details .

Oh oh oh, talking of competitions, have you entered the iMod Spa Competition yet? The competition closes in 2 days time!

Perhaps this old design submission is appropriate :P

  4. Eran says:

Seriously you can buy a Boss suit for R5k? Wow – shop around is the key I guess – the one I looked at recently was 3 times that :S

  5. Chris M says:

@blade – Where can we get a Hugo Boss suite for 5k? I remember shirts costing R2k alone!

  6. blade says:

    @chris
    yeah your right.
ill share a secret with you. all my suits are under 1k ..im cheap that way.
I buy shirts and pants that i can interchange between. its amazing how far that goes.
learnt this trick from a girl i was seeing some years ago.

  8. Chris M says:

Ah ye dude, that’s definitely the way to do things. Buying just the jackets is far cheaper than getting the full suites the whole time. One or two pairs of excellent pants and you’re sorted :)

  9. Eran says:

For sure :) the other is to go to Bangkok on holi-holiday. THere are amazing Indian tailors there who will make you any cut of suit you want : Boss, Armani, Karl Lagerveld etc for about 1k or 2k for the very top materials available. (the kind that R40 000 suits are made of :P )

  10. Chris M says:

Yar, I think I should go over there, wouldn’t mind some top class suits for great prices!

  11. Eran says:

For sure – and the lovely Asian Massages and smiles don’t hurt when you are in the sun in Thighland. THat’s for sure! :P

Got something to say? Go for it!
