New VLC player released

The best video watching program on the Internet has just released an update, updating the software to version 0.9.9, we’re approaching that v1 mark quickly!

Bug fixes include:

- fullscreen behaviour on Windows with multiple screens,
- workaround bug with libxml2 >=2.7.3,
- video performance on Intel-based Macs,
- various decoders updates on Windows.

Oh and before I go, don’t forget the skins contest they’re having – click here.

    Hi.

    Is there any specific reason you always link directly to the file? Is there any chance you can link to the download page rather (or as well)?

    I enjoy finding out about new software, but I prefer to visit the site and see screenshots before downloading an unknown zip file and installing it.

    Now I have to get the link from the file, get the URL of the site it’s pointing to and then opening that page.

    thanks.

    I sometimes link direct, I sometimes don’t – I think in this case, people are more interested in just updating rather than reading much more, hence the direct link – I will take your opinion into account though, don’t get me wrong, I understand.

    videolan.com is the website’s address afaik :)

    (And it’s videolan.org btw).

    I thought .org in my head and wrote .com, oops :P
