I was invited to the Democratic Alliance social media launch campaign
I was one a just a few bloggers who were invited to attend and launch of the DA’s social media campaign launch at the Riboville Restaurant in Cape Town.

The talk revolved around two websites:
1. The new Democratic Alliance website
2. The Contribute to Change website
I met up with Justin, who’s covered the entire event, so if you’re interested in reading more, click here. The Contribute to Change website is fantastic – I wrote my first blog post on their system – look here.
Thanks Anthony Hazel for my invite and great to meet you!
It’s great to see political parties getting involved in social media, these are two fantastic websites, which go hand in hand with the new elections website.
See you soon.

I was supposed to be there but my phone broke.
Probably would of gotten lost in the Cape Town maze of streets as usual.

Ah, two more web sites that I won’t visit. Ugh.
The phrase “Contribute to Change” makes my skin crawl. What a load of bull.

I think it’s a great idea and both sites are rather impressive. I’m a bit concerned about their strategies for marketing the websites, but all in all it’s a step in the right direction.
