I’m a digital citizen worth watching
Today, Mr Stopforth blogged about 10 young South African digital citizens worth watching. As we all know, Mike is a talented man with a fantastic company and vision, so seeing my name on his hit list is an incredible feeling.
This is what he had to say about me:
I hope Chris would not be offended when I call him an opportunist. It’s not meant negatively at all – this guy knows how to spot and opportunity, see a gap, fill a need, and capitalise on it all. He’s formidable. He runs one of South Africa’s most widely read and popular blogs, and is one of those people that is probably too smart for this planet. He’s clearly looking forward to space travel, so that hecan find others like him in the galaxy. Good luck with that Chris, I have no doubt you’ll be off to register MilkyWayTalent.com in a mo…
I’m sitting here buzzing right now, I think Ian thinks I’ve gone a little mad to be honest, all I can say is that I feel great! :)

Hehe, nice one @David. See, like I told you a loooooong time ago, there’s a big niche for video blogging and that’s why I tuned you to push and push with it and this is lovely reassurance that it has been worth it and that you’ve been recognised.
@Fe – Thanks darling! x
@James – Don’t flatter me! ;) But thanks a million :)

Thank you DChetty. You’re right though, nothing comes easily, we work hard and we reap the benefits :)

Good for you Chris, you really starting to make a name for your self.
Well Done

Thanks Shaun! Well, I’ve got a long term plan which will hopefully get fired off by the various bits of pieces of publicity that I manage to achieve, so there’s still lots to be done before I can truly feel self-fulfilled, but I’m getting there :)
How things your side?

Going very well thanks, The domain I told you about has been registered. The only problem is I don’t have writers block I have design block. Still have no idea what the design is going to look like.

Ah ye, I’ve been there before with programmers block, most annoying thing in the whole wide world!
Get an early night, break from PC, good food and get back to it tomorrow and you’ll come right :)

Wow! Being on Mike’s blog for any reason is an accomplishment. Kudos.

Thanks bro, means a lot to me :)

Congrats Chris! I saw the article on muti and even as I clicked on it, I was sure you would be on it.
I have only known you a little while, but knowing that you managed to shoot to No 2 on Afrigator although your blog has only been around since 2007, I figured if you were not there, then the list would immediately be discredited.
Thanks for the continuing inspiration

Nice one Chris, I think this is going to be the Year of iMod. :-)
Jan 10th, 2009 at 4:20 pm
Hehe, thanks Rox, it’s going to be the year of Christopher Mills ;)
Jan 12th, 2009 at 3:54 pm
Well done Chris, although we all knew you were going to be on that list – If those names were in order you’d be #1!!
Jan 12th, 2009 at 4:37 pm
Wow Heidi, what a wonderful compliment, I’m stuck for words!!!!
Jan 12th, 2009 at 5:06 pm
hehe, thats how I felt when I saw my name was on that list!
Seriously though, iMod is a blueprint for any SAblogger. I thought it was like a huge company thing, didnt realise it was just a regular blog… as weird as that sounds – it’s a compliment coming from someone who works for a rather large company ;)
Jan 12th, 2009 at 5:10 pm
Really means a lot Heidi! Ye, several people have said similiar things about it being a community and not this regular dude plugging away at the digital puzzle.
I’ve been reading your blog and so forth recently, trying to get up to date with who you are and what you do :) Well done to you too for making the list, it’s a great feeling innet!
