We all know that Smashing Magazine only features the best of the best! This time they’ve given us an absolute stunner!
Infinity theme is probably one of the sexiest themes I’ve ever seen and I’m truly blown away that it’s completely free! The theme was designed by Zhang Yichi, who is the genius behind Vikiworks Studio.
The theme structured as a 3 column layout, with a thumbnail cover style approach. Flickr, Twitter and delicious have been integrated into the theme. Unfortunately, the theme is not widget ready, Yichi is working on extending the theme and is looking for support!

Nice hey. If it wasnt such a mission to insert the pictures in every post i’d use this theme.
I played around with this one over the weekend. Its a real joy because you get the PSD photoshop files in the download, but yeah, the actual body of the posting is a pain. Something like this with a standard blog format beneath would be ideal.
If anyone endeavors to adjust the theme to make it useable, I would be keen to take a look…
Yichi has created some styling themes. This one is rather cool but the image posts are a bit time consuming. Iv download his V5 it looks awesome… Just need to update my version of WP.

@esvl – I totally agree with you. Using a theme which requires the addition of an image for each post is great for a blog which only churns out 1 post a day, but anything more than that, it gets a bit hard to manage.
@DonB – Yup, receiving the PSD file is a massive plus if you’ve got experience with Photoshop, but as esvl and I say, it’s a mission for a normal blog..
