Playboy brings us 9 of the sexiest woman bloggers!

Playboy has just announced its list of some the the sexiest bloggers in the blogosphere. The list has been up for a while, I’ve just not had a chance to blog it. Not only are these woman sexy, but they all write for some of the biggest websites in the world, so it’s not just sex appeal, but skill too!

Below is a collect of the sexiest woman who blog:

amanda-congdon brigitte-dale julie-alexandria

natali-del-conte sarah-austin sarah-lacy

veronica-belmont violet-blue xeni-jardin

I must say that it’s truly awesome to see large companies recognising blogger talent. It’s becoming more and more clear that blogging is taking over the word, not only from an information point of view, but from a freedom of expressing opinion as well as creating awareness and bringing information to your clients and customers directly!

There is also the TV Show, called 20 Hottest Women of the Web, which I haven’t really managed to watch yet, but hear that it’s really interesting.

  1. I went and checked out the Playboy page … must admit that I’m a bit disappointed.

Not about them being sexy and all that (and yes, I did add my vote) but rather, about the lack of writing. These women are all “vloggers” and there’s nothing to read :-(

Is this where we’re headed? ‘Cos if that’s the case, then I’m out – hell will have to freeze over before I go and stick my video-mug up there on there on the interwebs!

  2. minggers!

  3. JustBcoz.. I was actually disapointed from the point of view that they clearly only looked at the ‘popular’ or well known bloggers and didn’t stretch out their arms enough! I’m not sure which direction blogging is going to go, but it’s certainly getting a great deal more commercial and profit driven..

    @Anthony – LOL!

  4. Haha, came back to 2 posts about this in my feed. Here’s the other one:

    http://www.salon.com/mwt/broadsheet/2008/07/10/blogging_hotties/index.html?source=rss&aim=/mwt/broadsheet

Gotta say, I go with the line from the Broadsheet writer:

In other words: “So, ladies, even though you’re nearly naked in the minds of everyone reading this story on Digg, I want you to know I respect you for your brains.”

  5. Thanks for popping in! Thanks for the link, I will make sure I take a look first thing in the morning, right now I need to get some rest, have an early start tomorrow.

Absolutely, these girls ‘blog’ on some of the biggest networks around! Respect :)

  6. @justBcoz: I have to agree with you, vloggers != bloggers!

However, I have discovered that video sites such as YouTube and LiveLeak can amass quite a large following for a vlogger and YouTube is now offering to share some of its ad revenue with the more popular and active vloggers.

I’ve also noticed that some of those vloggers also maintain blogs, but they are not popular. Their video audience does not seem interested in reading – they just want to watch.

Some online personalities, such as ShoeMoney, do both – they blog and vlog and obviously they are trying to reach two different audiences.

I suppose it really comes down to doing what you’re most comfortable doing. I’m not sure if I could get into vlogging. I know at least one local blogger who vlogged for a while – Guy McLaren. If you haven’t watched his YouTube videos yet, you should, especially his Flash is Evil vlog – it’s hysterical, for all the wrong reasons. In his case, if he vlogged more regularly he’d probably attract more viewers than he attracts readers.

I think vlogs do well for beautiful women and funny guys and freaks, and, of course, Rex the Lion! :)

  7. vbloggers <> bloggers indeed!

I love the way Darren Rowse from ProBlogger, just does one video blog a week or so, I think that adds a lovely touch and I was wondering if I would ever have the push to do something like a video blog weekly, must really think about this!

    REX!

  8. If you’re going to start vlogging, here are a few tips:

    1. Shower first. Dress neatly. Don’t look like a homeless bum.
    2. If you burp during your delivery – redo.
    3. Ditto if a sudden disturbance occurs in the background, e.g. dogs barking
    4. Script what you are going to say in advance.
    5. Have something useful to say.

All these I learnt from watching Guy McLaren show How NOT to vlog.

  9. Haha, good list, I’ll definitely ensure that I take these into account :P

  10. You know I am not so sure that video is that different to things like Twitter @justBcoz. Did you see yourself being so active on Twitter 6 months ago? Was blogging a little too revealing before you got into it?

For me the big thing is having something to say in a video clip but I have been toying with the idea for a while even though I have a face for audio.

  11. @Paul – That’s what I thought, what exactly would I talk about each week, it would have to be some form of summary, like Rex does with the local bloggers..

  12. @Paul … mmmk, you’ve got a point there. But at this stage, NO WAY!! If I was a sexy, brainy 20-something with something useful to say, perhaps. Right now? NO WAY hehe …

  13. @justBcoz: don’t let the 20 somethings monopolize the market! a lot of us find the 30 somethings more appealing, which probably has something to do with our own (old) ages. ;)

Chris’ blog is about the only 20 something’s blog I read at the moment. Many of the others have become (or always were) banal, in my not so humble opinion.

  14. Agreed, iMod rocks!

Yes, I also like to read stuff from slightly, erhem, “older” folk =)

Vlogging-wise, I just don’t see myself being able to do something like this – http://www.mostlylisa.com … I think I need to find some more vlogs and see what’s happening, who’s doing what.

I have a relatively slow connection though, so I struggle to watch stuff online.

  15. Sorry for going OT here Chris!

  16. Thanks for the awesome comments Sue & Richard, really means a lot to me and I try my best to keep things exciting and sometimes heated. I’ve also noticed that most 20-something blogs are going down the tubes, I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that most young 20s aren’t too busy and then once they enter the working world, they can’t find the time to blog, what you think? Question would be.. well, then how do YOU find time to blog, hehe, honestly, I’m not too sure.. guess it boils down to a lot less sleep ;)

Vlogging, it’s interesting and I’m certainly keen to give it a bash, I just need to think of a topic or perhaps the idea is to just get going, what do you think? How long should a vlogg be?

Give me some ideas and I’ll make a point to do it :)

Have your say..
