Dynamically linked ajax drop down menus!
Any developer who has ever had to build a website which has two dynamically linked drop down menus for countries and provinces will know what a nightmare this is, especially if you’re aiming for ajax integration on top of the primary functionality!
NoBoxMedia has found a solution based on a few other sources. NoBoxMedia has packaged together a zip file, free to download, which has dynamic drop down menus with ajax for countries and areas. Here is an example of what I am referring to:

I have downloaded the source code, imported the database tables and tested it out and everything runs perfectly, what a great solution! Although it’s not the only solution available online, it’s one of the first ones which I have found completely seamless to get running :)

Very nice – coding one of those by hand is a pain :)

Ye, I’ve built a couple accommodation type websites and each time I start one, there’s one thing on my mind – the search facilities! I remember grabbing a list of countries and provinces from some html source code on a government website, I then wrote code to str_replace, etc. and import into the database, it was a complete nightmare!
Never again!

I’m doing a project for the fresh produce exporting industry, obviously locations play a big role! Luckily I got the DevEx controls for .net and their tutorials, helping a lot.
This is a pretty good solution for those who don’t have the resources to go buy something. Free is always good ;) Nice find!

Ye mate, dynamic linked lists are a mission – I’ve struggled many times, hope you manage to sort it out – best of luck with the project!
