Synthasite, WithTank and now another site builder launches!

Can you believe it, yet another site builder has been launched! Over the past year I’ve watch mobile VoIP companies creep in from all angles and now it seems that the latest trend is site builder websites.

The first explosive one to note was Synthasite, which was shortly followed by WithTank and now it’s Hetzner‘s turn! Personally, I’m starting to feel that these startups are not really that incredible. It’s becoming a rather simple process to put a system like this together and I feel that the real strength lies in the actual revenue model and marketing of such innovations.

The Hetzner Site Builder claims:

Hetzner’s SiteBuilder is a website publishing tool that allows you to create and manage your personal or business website with ease. SiteBuilder’s intuitive wizard-style interface allows anyone to build a professional website in 7 easy steps – no design skills or HTML experience necessary! Your completed site is immediately available and can be edited afterwards.

This territory is becoming very heated, I look forward to seeing which company shines above the rest!

Not sure all those products/offerings fit into the same category.. but I think you hit the nail on the head with: “eal strength lies in the actual revenue model and marketing” and we also need to take current geographical focus into consideration when evaluating particularly the marketing focus.

They are different systems, but at the end of the day, I feel that they are all attempting to achieve the same goal and that’s to provide an easy and seamless way for users to get a website online – it’s like going backwards and start MySpace again ;)

It’s definitely about the revenue, someone wise once told me that *wink*

Got something to say? Go for it!
