Ten Text Message Length Blogging Tips
Hey friends,
I wanted to give all of you some tips on blogging and once I started writing, the content just got longer and longer, so I decided that writing down 10 text message length tips would be easy to read and put the point across quickly. So, here are some decent tips for any blogger, beginner or professional:
- Always use a spell checker before publishing your posts.
- Reference back to websites where you found information.
- Network with other bloggers and share ideas.
- Comment on other blogs intelligently.
- Encourage users to interact on your website.
- Take notice of where your visitors are coming from.
- Use rich, fresh content when blogging.
- Take time to choose decent plugins.
- Don’t crowd your blog with nonsense.
- Keep adverts to a minimum.
I hope there’s something there for everyone. Please feel free to leave a message with your text message length tip by clicking here! Once I have enough tips collected, I will do a follow up article with links to all bloggers who left decent tips!
After Rox posted her ten tips, I decided to publish them here too:
- Share your posts using social network tools
- Link back to previous posts where appropriate
- Try and post every day, even if it’s short posts
- Make regular features E.G. ‘Cheese of the Week’
- Big traffic is cool, loyal following is more so
- Shock posts can work well if done correctly
- Have an opinion and share it in your blog
- Posts without pictures are dullsville
- Make sure you know what you’re talking about
- Celebrities bring in traffic!
Right, another list has come through from a friend:
- Have opinions about stuff.
- Be willing to expose your opinions on the world stage (and be willing to fail and succeed in front of everybody too).
- Assume good faith in others.
- Suck it up and try to learn when your opinions are criticised – nobody has a monopoly over the truth.
- Make the truth your religion.
- Draw off others knowledge and link to them.
- Try to see the humour in things.
- A good heading is crucial.
- Reply to emails.
- Restrict each blog entry to a single topic.
- Make your blog entry on a topic the best blog entry on that topic in the world.
- Public nudity brings in traffic…but you gotta think about what type of audience you’re looking for!
Some good blogging tips are being shown here now, fantastic!
See you soon.

Something that has to be crucial is first of all your grammar. If your grammar is shocking, you will lose many readers for good. Another important thing, is to get to the point of the post. It is no use wafting on about something that is not relevant to your target market. You got them there, now keep them there! Hope that helped at all :)

Thanks for the comment James, every tip helps! I’m hoping to build this thread up nicely and see what others have to share!

I have to confess that using the spellcheck is something that I haven’t been doing (hope my old schoolteachers aren’t reading this!) – it’s an easy habit to get into, and will make my blog look more professional – thanks for the tip.
I’ve been inspired by this post to set up my top 8 blogging tips (see link).

Ye bud,
I’m not a big one for spell checking, I usually rely on Firefox’s built in red underlining :)
Heading over to your link now!
