A New Beginning

Good evening everyone,

I have decided to turn over a new leaf, and restart iMod, this time powered by WordPress as I no longer have the time to continue writing my own engine.

I hope to have things up and running as soon as possible, so please stand by me.

Thank-you!

Looks slick. I like the skin.

Ye, very good find, nice and minimalist, a good platform to build onto, which is exactly what I am looking for.

    Shot for the comment!

I can’t stand it :( The only way I can explain it is “TL;DR”

I find myself barely reading any articles.

The old look was way better.

    Just my 2c :)

I didn’t even see the date, how in gods name did I end up on page 670 O_O

Anyways, that comment is about the latest look…

@Shane – Thanks for your comment, perhaps you could assist me by telling me what you would change? I must admit, I got a shock too, haha, this post was 3 years ago!

    We’ll just hi-jack this thread then :P

Well that awesome picture at the top is missing.. can’t really remember what it was but I’m sure it was something to do with table mountain.. I think.. Ok, I’m not sure.. But whatever it was it grounded the page nicely and always gave you a fat link to the first page.. (I’d bring back the header)

Then the articles look very jammed together, and somehow too busy, I’m struggling to quite put my finger on it but I think if I were doing it, I’d put each post in a soft bubble looking thing.. Not sure how to explain it.. Ok, see how the responses look in their little gray boxes, well something like that except maybe a nice pale blue and rounded corners..

The last thing I really miss are the pictures of who made the post.. For example I found Jo’s posts to be pretty interesting and fun to read but Brazen’s posts were just not really my slice of cake so by looking at the picture I could easily just keep scrolling or stop and have a look..

    Anyways, hope it helps :)

    Hi Shane,

That does help, in a big way and I’ll most definitely see what I can do because I definitely agree on the author thing – I have something else in planning for that though, because I know how important it is to show the readers up front who’s writing what so you can skip things you aren’t interested in. Implementation thereof is just taking a lot longer than I’d have hoped..

Ok cool! Well I look forward to seeing the new look of iMod!

  9. Any other social media fame service ReputationUP.com users? Domtar? My business is switching 2 it for all the top employees. 1 know they only cost fortynine dollars which is not much, however I’ve like 2 point out other local users of it 4 my boss.

Got something to say? Go for it!
